Founder’s Story / Founder’s Inspiration
EcoMedica Group was founded with a vision to address healthcare disparities in regions where medical infrastructure remains limited. Inspired by firsthand observations of unequal access to essential care, the founder, Jonathan Weng, began exploring how sustainable energy and connected medical technologies could be integrated to support more resilient healthcare delivery systems.
An early research initiative led to the development of a modular solar-powered telemedicine platform designed to support vital sign monitoring, connected medical device integration, secure data transmission, and remote clinical guidance in low-resource settings. The system’s modular architecture allows for future expansion with additional medical components under appropriate clinical supervision. The prototype is currently undergoing pilot research and is protected under a provisional patent.
Through ongoing research and innovation, EcoMedica Group seeks to translate engineering concepts into scalable, ethically grounded solutions that strengthen healthcare accessibility while prioritizing sustainability and long-term social impact.
